Sympathetic magic is a foundation practice and belief in most systems of magic. Class participants will learn how to construct a dolly, or poppet, out of common household materials. Some basic forms of magic and use will be covered including using a poppet to dissuade a bully, to bring a new friendship, or to enhance performance in school. Children will be creating their own poppet. Due to the age level of the class, it goes without saying that no magic will be taught that will allow them to shoot their eye out. (In other words, no baneful magic.)
